The E2 platform follows the industry standard E1 family of wireless products as the first peer-to-peer wireless devices for industrial use.  The E2 products take advantage of a more powerful CPU, providing true mesh networking with over-the-air configuration and firmware upgrade ability.  Mesh networking allows for self organizing and self-healing (redundancy).  Each module can handle discrete, analog, and pulse inputs and outputs while providing on-board Ethernet, in addition to an RS232 and RS-485 port with Modbus support.  These advanced features are housed in an attractive, et rugged Din-rail package with easy-to-install mounting.
